Knitting 2-sided Cables
Learn how to knit 2 different types of 2 sided cables. The first looks great on both sides because it is built of ribbing and the second has a different cable on each side. Knitting from a chart is a necessity in this class but you can learn as you go.

Exploring the Cable Toolbox
By knitting cables made from ribs, mini cables and lace in unusual and useful cable structures you’ll become familiar with a new vocabulary of cables, preparing you for experimenting with new cable fabrics on your own.

Make It Your Own - Cabled Hat
Learn some of Norah’s favourite techniques while knitting her cabled hat and customising it for yourself. You can knit the hat as is or substitute your own choice of cables from Norah’s Knitted Cable Sourcebook.

TALK Chatting with Norah: Designing with Geometric Shapes
An opportunity to chat with Norah as we learn about designing with geometric shapes. Explore the design possibilities of sweaters made with rectangles, triangles, circles, or half circles. From finding inspiration to testing an idea with fleece to taking your idea to the next level, Norah takes you through her design process and shares her current obsession with making innovative garments (yet wearable) garments where fit isn’t a big issue.

Norah will describe her design process for coming up with a new stitch pattern and final product. Explore taking a pattern stitch and making it your own. Students who aren't ready to alter pattern stitches or make up their own can focus on ending the perfect pattern stitch for their combination of yarn and silhouette.

Knitting Polygons
From Knitting Nature and beyond, learn all the tricks to knitting garments made from hexagons and other polygons. Make modifications to make a new polygon and make your knitting unique.
Canberra - Saturday, June 24

Make It Your Own - Yoked Sweater
This is a fun, hands-on workshop on working from the top down, in the round. You will design your own cabled yoke cowl, which could grow into a poncho or sweater. You will begin by choosing from Norah’s variety of textures or cables and move on to manoeuvring details like sleeve length, body shape and neck finishing to suit your own likes and quirks with Norah’s “fill in the blanks” template.
