CABLE DESIGN Saturday, October 3 from 10am-5pm

Explore innovative cable crossings and “drawing” with cables. Norah will show you how, by using a few different types of cables as building blocks, you can design an infinite number of cables.
After practice putting cable symbols to paper, you’ll design your own Ogee shaped cable motif, further personalize it with the fill of your choice, then test it by knitting.
Skill level: intermediate/advanced, comfort with cable charts a must
Class Supplies: worsted weight wool (or substitute in case of allergies) & range of needle sizes, cable needle, #2 pencil and a great eraser
KNITTING POLYGONS Sunday, October 4 from 10am-1pm
From Knitting Nature and beyond, learn all the tricks to knitting garments made from hexagons and other polygons. Make modifications to make a new polygon and make your knitting unique.
Skill Level: advanced beginner, comfort with double pointed needles a plus
Class Supplies: Worsted-weight wool (or substitute in case of allergies) and a range of appropriate needle sizes
